1. What do you need, what you want?

Some of the items on your list might be things that have never had before, but would love to have; espresso machine, outdoor grill, or a plasma TV. And some items that you currently have may need replacing; that set of matching dishes, they are worn pots and pans, or a pair of glasses of champagne which seems to have become one.

2. Select a few shops.

Give your guests a choice by enrolling in a few different places. Create a list of two or three stores at varying prices and products.

3. Ask about the rules and back.

Of the few stores that you choose, be aware of each allowance and store policies. How long your registry is will remain active after the wedding? Guests can shop online or in store? Whether you need a gift receipt to return the item? Once the item is returned, you will receive cash or store credit? After your wedding day has come and gone, you will receive a discount on items purchased from your registry? These are all valid questions to present to the registry location of your choice.
