There are still mysteries to be discovered regarding the history and origin of the Psilocybe Cubensis strain, as are many fungi. Although discoveries about mushrooms and their uses are still being explored today, there is still much to be learned. 

The exact origin of the Golden Teacher Mushroom strain is unknown, but they are often easily identified by their yellow-dotted golden cap. Not surprisingly, the best golden teacher mushrooms strain has a fruiting body that most often matches its name. They are elegant and quite large compared to other types of Psilocybe cubensis.

The Golden Teacher mushroom has a distinctive appearance with long, curved, hollow stems that are much thicker at the base. The Golden Guru Mushroom, in particular, has fruit bodies with a golden or yellowish tint in the centre and a partial cap. Their hats can be larger, reach up to 8 centimetres in diameter, and have an elegant appearance compared to their cousins. 

This particular strain also has gills that can vary between white and purplish-brown, which makes it distinctive. Again, as with any fungus, it is important to properly identify the strain before attempting to collect, store, or consume spores! 

Golden Teacher mushrooms produce less fruit than other Psilocybe Cubensis varieties, but they also grow easily under optimal conditions. This fact alone also explains why they are more popular and popular among new breeders.
